ALB Group strikes sponsorship deal with Broxtowe United

“We were thinking about a community-driven grass-roots football club... and Broxtowe United is a shining example of that”

ALB is sponsoring Broxtowe United

A Nottingham property developer has signed a sponsorship deal with a local football team.

ALB Group, which has made its name converting large, disused buildings into residential and commercial properties in the Midlands and the north, has struck a full club kit deal with Nottingham-based Broxtowe United.

ALB managing director Arran Bailey said: “Having recently bought the former Nottingham College campus in nearby Chilwell, with a view to turning the 120,000 sq ft site into student apartments, we were looking to supplement that with a broader investment in the local community.

“We were thinking about a community-driven grass-roots football club and, with its forward-thinking approach to social development and inclusivity throughout the borough, Broxtowe United is a shining example of exactly that.”

Broxtowe United was established in 2015 to give children across the borough the chance to learn new skills, make new friends and have fun.

The community club is run by volunteers, and has four teams – under-12s, 13s, 14s & 15s.

Club chairman James Bromley said the sponsorship agreement was big step forward in the club’s development.

He said: “We have all sorts of sponsorship deals available to help support what we do because we don’t want to exclude small local businesses – but this deal with ALB is the first full club sponsorship we’ve ever had.
