Admiral and Principality named as two of the best big employers in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ

They are both ranked in the top 10 in the largest employer category in the Great Place to Work º£½ÇÊÓƵ project

Admiral and Principality Building Society have been named as two of the best largest employers in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ to work for.

The financial services firms have made the top ten in the 2021 º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s Best Workplaces in the award category of firms employing more than 1,000.

Admiral, which employs nearly 7,500 at offices in Cardiff, Swansea and Newport, is ranked fifth while Principality, which has its HQ in Cardiff but with branches across Wales, is ranked eight.

The awards, from body the Great Place to Work º£½ÇÊÓƵ, are independently assessed with a focus on identifying workplace cultures built on trust and engagement, supported by innovative people management practices.

Topping the list this year in the 1,000-plus employee category is hotel chain Hilton, which has a hotel in the centre of Cardiff. Ranked 19th is IT consultancy firm CGI, which has a presence in Bridgend.

Admiral Group chief executive, Milena Mondini, said, “I couldn’t be prouder of our Great Place to Work Best Workplaces ranking, particularly as the award is based on feedback from our employees. We’ve featured on the list every year for over twenty years, and this achievement is driven by the unique culture we have here at Admiral.

“Our people are the key to our success, and this has never been more evident than over the last year. They’re the driving force behind our record performances, our great customer service and our contribution to the wider community. And they’ve shown a strength and resilience throughout these challenging times that’s truly admirable

“I couldn’t wish for better colleagues, and I can’t thank them enough for everything they do to make Admiral such a fantastic place to work.”
