Businesses all across Liverpool, Manchester and the wider North West region have announced a whole host of top hires and promotions as the region's economic recovery continues.
Companies which operate in sectors from car retail to sports fashion and drink manufacturing have made a series of moves in the past week since our last roundup.

St Pierre Groupe
David Milner, who was responsible for driving international growth at Tyrells and progressing the Lily’s Kitchen pet food brand, has taken on the CEO role at St Pierre Groupe to drive its next stage of growth.
The company's portfolio includes St Pierre, Baker Street and Paul Hollywood's part-baked bread brand.
As non-executive chairman at St Pierre Groupe, Mr Milner spent the past three years in a strategic role but will now implement growth plans internationally as CEO, alongside the senior leadership team.

Hampson Hughes
Law firm Hampson Hughes has appointed three new members of staff to its clinical negligence team, following a period of growth for the firm.
Lindsay Jenkins, Gemma Dixon and Jhay Mason have joined the firm in its head office in Liverpool as a solicitor, assistant solicitor and clinical negligence litigation executive respectively.
Hampson Hughes specialises in clinical negligence and personal injury law, representing clients from across England and Wales across a number of areas of practice including clinical negligence, road traffic accidents, accidents at work, product liability and slips, trips and falls.

Lookers
Greater Manchester-headquartered car retail giant Lookers has appointed a new non-executive chairman and chief financial officer.
Ian Bull will take up the chairman role from October 1, succeeding Phil White.
Mr Bull was most recently CFO at Parkdean Holidays and prior to that CFO at Ladbrokes and Greene King.
Earlier in his career, he held a variety of financial and operational roles with BT Group, Walt Disney Co and Whitbread.
The group has also confirmed the hiring of Oliver Laird as its new chief financial officer from November 15.
Since 2017, he has been CFO at CPP Group, the listed multinational financial services business.
Previously, he was finance director with First Direct Bank, Cooperative Insurance and 海角视频 General Insurance.
Anthony Collins Solicitors
Anthony Collins Solicitors has appointed a new partner to its Manchester office.
Thomas Starkey has been recruited to help lead the social purpose law firm’s housing practice, with the remit of growing ACS’ Manchester office and property team.
Mr Starkey joins from Weightmans where he was a partner in its real estate team, specialising in supporting social housing providers, charities and local authorities.

He brings more than 15 years’ legal experience to ACS, with expertise in managing complex property matters, spanning site assembly, large scale developments and regeneration schemes.
In his previous role, Mr Starkey helped a registered provider acquire a portfolio of 1,000 homes located across Northern England in an acquisition programme spanning three years.
JD Sports
Greater Manchester-headquartered JD Sports has announced that Bert Hoyt has been appointed as a non-executive director.
Mr Hoyt joined Nike in 1998 and was most recently VP/ GM of Nike EMEA, a position which he occupied until he retired in January of 2021.
Prior to his engagement at Nike, he spent 10 years at Puma as GM for Puma International.
Previous to his career in the sportswear market, he was a top 200 ATP tennis professional from 1977 to 1984.
Executive chairman Peter Cowgill said: "I am delighted to welcome Bert to the board of directors of JD.

Kingsland Drinks
Salford-based Kingsland Drinks has hired Charles Overin joins as its new head of marketing and insights.
He will lead the firm’s insights team and play a role in the development of the company’s consumer centric branded portfolio - including canned RTDs Vin Crowd and Mix Up and wine brand Campaneo.
He has previously worked at Treasury Wine Estates where he was head of shopper marketing; prior to that he spent 11 years at Heineken 海角视频.

Access2Funding
Birkenhead-headquartered tax specialist Access2Funding has appointed Don Haymes as its new chief financial officer.
He was most recently employed by SKG Capital Partners where he helped in the restructuring and sale of Dawsons Music.
Mr Haymes will have overall responsibility for finance and to ensure that Access2Funding operates within its agreed budget.
He said: "I look forward to leading Access2Funding’s finance team to contribute to the business’s future success as the company progresses to the next phase of its strategy.

Eden Planning
Altrincham-based Eden Planning has appointed Anna Bensky as a new director to its all-female leadership team.
She has previously worked in the private sector, both client-side and as a planning consultant and joins Eden after nine years as associate director at Peel L&P.
She joins an established all-female leadership team with a reputation for delivering planning consents to a number of high-profile clients across the North West, including Ask Real Estate, Manchester City Football Club and Asda. During her time at Peel, she was instrumental in the delivery of RHS Garden Bridgewater.
UHY Hacker Young
Manchester accountancy group UHY Hacker Young has expanded its automotive team with the addition of automotive partner, Ian McMahon.
He joins the firm from ASE and specialises in due diligence, SME advisory, statutory audit and OEM and network studies.

Over the last seven years, he has been appointed as a responsible individual for a portfolio of motor trade audit clients.

Jackson Lees
North West law firm Jackson Lees has expanded its corporate and commercial department with two new appointments.
Jen Goodwin, a corporate and commercial solicitor, joins the team following six years’ experience at Lancashire practice Farleys Solicitors LLP.
She said: "I’m really excited to be joining the Jackson Lees team and it’s fantastic to be coming into such a fresh department that’s already beginning to expand.
"From the outset, it was clear that Jackson Lees is incredibly passionate about growth and each individual’s development, so I’m looking forward to being on board and a part of its future, helping to create a strong, robust department with Charlotte and the team."
Angela Kelly, joining the team from within the Jackson Lees Group, has been appointed as corporate and commercial paralegal.
Landwood Group
North West property firm Landwood Group has bolstered its asset management team by appointing Louise Dean as an associate director.
She has joined the Manchester-headquartered group and has been tasked with managing and maximising client assets and growing the division alongside director Anna Main.
With more than 15 years of experience in surveying, she has knowledge in both industrial management and property management.
She has worked for firms including DTZ in Australia and, most recently, CBRE in the 海角视频, where she stayed for seven years.
She said: "I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Landwood, which has an excellent reputation in commercial property and asset management across the North West and beyond.
"Landwood’s smaller team and personal, director-led approach will enable me to forge my own path in the industry and make a real, tangible difference to both the business and to clients."
Mitchell Charlesworth
North West accountancy firm Mitchell Charlesworth has made a series of senior appointments in its audit and accounts, outsourcing and wealth management teams.
Manager Gary Evans has been appointed to develop the firm’s outsourcing services which include management reporting, VAT returns and bookkeeping.
Jonathan Leatherbarrow is an independent financial advisor who has joined the firm’s wealth management team.
Manager Michelle Southworth has joined the Liverpool audit and accounts team.
The firm has also welcomed assistant manager Emerald Thomas to its audit and accounts team in Chester.
Elsewhere in the firm Charlotte Eaton (Manchester), Hannah Swettenham (Chester) and Adam Warburton (Chester) have all been promoted to the role of assistant manager.
Belong
Dementia care specialist Belong has appointed Ali Gopaul to its operations team, with oversight of the organisation's Greater Manchester care villages, as well as the group's health and fitness provision across all locations.
In his new role as operations manager, he will work closely with teams in Atherton, Wigan and Didsbury.
Belong's on-site state-of-the-art exercise studios and specialist fitness instructors also fall under his remit.
