20 firms in Yorkshire and Humber secure King's Awards for Enterprise

Companies across a range of sectors have won awards for international trade, innovation and sustainable development

King's Awards winners: Advanced Manufacturing Sheffield

A total of 20 companies in the Yorkshire and Humber area have secured King’s Awards for Enterprise.

The recipients - part of a cohort of 252 award winners from around the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ - have been praised for excellence in innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.

Recipients include Warrendale Wagyu, which provides new and sustainable ways forward for the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ meat and dairy industry, and Carramore International Ltd, a supplier of customized services to medical and life science research in Lower and Middle Income countries, which has been recognised in the international trade category of the King’s Awards.

The winners in the international trade award were Restrap, Wrendale Designs, Ashley Bolser Agency, Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance, Zetechtics, Advanced Alloy Services, ICD Europe, Accu, SBD Apparel Limited, Ossila, Carramore, C-Kore Systems and Works International Design.

Innovation awards were won by Gripple, Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield), Warrendale Wagyu, Safespaces (Cornholme) and Incremental Solutions. And there were sustainable development awards for Spinko/Harrison Spinks and The Bio D Company.

King's Awards winners: Restrap

Jim Bloom, founder of Warrendale Wagyu, near Holmfirth, said: “Receiving the Kings Award is an honour for Warrendale Wagyu after founding the business seven years ago. We work closely with many farmers across the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ to produce British Wagyu Beef and are also very fortunate to have established some long term customers who value the product and supply chain we have created.”
