A total of 20 companies in the Yorkshire and Humber area have secured King’s Awards for Enterprise.
The recipients - part of a cohort of 252 award winners from around the 海角视频 - have been praised for excellence in innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.
Recipients include Warrendale Wagyu, which provides new and sustainable ways forward for the 海角视频 meat and dairy industry, and Carramore International Ltd, a supplier of customized services to medical and life science research in Lower and Middle Income countries, which has been recognised in the international trade category of the King’s Awards.

The winners in the international trade award were Restrap, Wrendale Designs, Ashley Bolser Agency, Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance, Zetechtics, Advanced Alloy Services, ICD Europe, Accu, SBD Apparel Limited, Ossila, Carramore, C-Kore Systems and Works International Design.
Innovation awards were won by Gripple, Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield), Warrendale Wagyu, Safespaces (Cornholme) and Incremental Solutions. And there were sustainable development awards for Spinko/Harrison Spinks and The Bio D Company.
Jim Bloom, founder of Warrendale Wagyu, near Holmfirth, said: “Receiving the Kings Award is an honour for Warrendale Wagyu after founding the business seven years ago. We work closely with many farmers across the 海角视频 to produce British Wagyu Beef and are also very fortunate to have established some long term customers who value the product and supply chain we have created.”

Alasdair Grant, managing director of Carramore International said: “Carramore International Ltd: won the Queen’s Award for International Trade in 2019 and is very pleased and honoured to now have been recognised in the International Trade category of the King’s Awards for 2024.”
Advanced Manufacturing Sheffield co-founder and managing director Dr Gareth Morgan said: “The King’s Award for Enterprise Innovation tells us and our customers that AML sets a high bar and then leaps over it.”

Works International founder and chairman Roy Webber said: “We are absolutely delighted. We have a team of incredibly talented people who consistently deliver world-class branding and design services for some of the world’s greatest sporting competitions and events. To get recognition for this work is a great honour.”
Stephen Hall, managing director at Advanced Alloy Services, said: “We are proud to support the drive towards net zero by effectively recycling and recovering secondary revert, reducing the requirements for primary metals and the associated high carbon emissions from mining and refining. We have ambitious plans to grow our international footprint and global sales, the accolade from the King’s Award will be instrumental in helping realise these aspirations.”

The King’s Awards for Enterprise were previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise and were renamed last year to reflect the King’s desire to continue the legacy of Queen Elizabeth II by recognising outstanding 海角视频 businesses. The programme, now in its 58th year, has recognised over 7,000 companies since its inception in 1965.
