Companies based in Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and all across the North West have announced a whole range of top hires and promotions over the last week.

Typhoo Tea
The founder and former chief executive of of Clipper Tea has joined Wirral-based Typhoo Tea.
Mike Brehme has taken on a non-executive director role at the company, replacing Alex Brown who is currently chief executive of Baleigh Investments.
Mr Brehme set up Clipper Tea in 1983 and departed the business in 2010.

Professional Liverpool
Professional Liverpool has expanded its senior team with the appointment of Clare Brookfield as its member relations manager.
She joins from the investment organisation MSIF, where she worked as business development manager and was key to the success of the LCR Angel Network.
In her new role, she will work closely with chief executive, Andrew Ruffler, and be the first point of contact for Professional Liverpool’s members, as well as encouraging other professionals to join the network across Liverpool City Region.
Zen Internet
Rochdale-based Zen Internet has announced a series of internal and external appointments to expand and strengthen its executive team.
The expansion of the executive team sees existing employees Dave Barber and Paul Sinclair promoted to the newly-created roles of portfolio management director and marketing director respectively. They will sit on Zen’s executive committee with immediate effect.
Zen has also created the new position of customer experience director to oversee all of its operational activity across provisioning, onboarding, technical support, customer service and customer engineering.

Dean Burdon will take this role and also joins the executive committee with immediate effect.
Steve Warburton, currently executive committee member and MD of Zen’s Partner Division, will take on additional responsibility as MD for Zen Retail.
Gerald Eve
Gerald Eve has appointed Tom Dolan-Bent as a partner in its development team.
He will be based between Gerald Eve’s Leeds and Manchester offices and will focus on growing and enhancing the team’s government contracts work.
This will see him advising on a range of opportunities emerging from the levelling-up agenda, in particular around major infrastructure and regeneration proposals.
Mr Dolan-Bent has almost 20 years’ experience in development, having previously worked for Drivers Jonas and Deloitte, as well as several years working client-side for central London developers.
Engage Hub
Manchester-based social media and influencer marketing agency Engage Hub has announced four new senior appointments.
Charly Booth moves from head of influencer to influencer partnerships director while Sian Walker moves from account director to agency director.
Liam Anderson, who comes from Kairos Media Group, will head up the agency’s growth and expansion plans as its move from Engage Hub to Engage Group.
Finally, Abby Thompson joins as creative director, coming from THG.
Bromleys
Tameside-based law firm Bromleys has appointed a new head of its private client and Court of Protection teams and has recruited two more specialists as part of its ongoing expansion.
Associate solicitor Francesca Rigby has joined the practice to lead the private client and Court of Protection teams.
Bromleys’ family team has also been strengthened by the arrival of Danielle Higgins, who has joined the firm as an assistant solicitor.
Tasneem Rahman has also joined Bromleys as a paralegal in the Court of Protection team.
Savills
Savills Manchester has appointed Robert Waterhouse as an associate director in its development team.
Mr Waterhouse, who is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), will be responsible for providing market-facing development consultancy advice to house builders, developers, property companies and landowners at the international real estate advisors.
His role will include producing market research reports, written representations, development feasibility studies, options appraisals, viability assessments and purchase reports.
He joins Savills from BNP Paribas Real Estate where he worked in the development and valuation teams covering the north of England.
Anything
Manchester creative digital agency Anything has announced the appointment of Leanda Falcon as its client services director.
She has held senior positions at some of Europe’s biggest agencies and biggest household brands, including posts at the Reading Room, LOVE Creative, Kellogg’s and Amsterdam’s The Brave New Now.
She has worked across a variety of disciplines: brand strategy, brand identity and digital innovation.
Leanda Falcon said: "Mark and Jono are work colleagues and friends who I’ve worked with on a number of global digital brand projects over the years from Sony PlayStation to Nike to Quorn.

Gallagher
Insurance broker Gallagher has welcomed three new insurance specialists to its Manchester city centre office.
Andy Newby has been appointed sales director and will be responsible for overseeing business development, including creating and implementing the office’s sales strategy to attract new clients and raise the firm’s profile locally.
Matthew Whalley has been appointed account executive, having joined from insurance broker Aon where he was a project manager.
Christine Hare joins as senior account handler, having joined from insurance broker Lockton.
Love Energy Savings
Bolton-based Love Energy Savings has added a new senior hire as the business prepares to "turbocharge awareness" of its telecoms offering.
Emma Hargraves joins the energy retailer as its new head of business essentials marketing - where she will oversee activity across its telco and water divisions.
She joins the Bolton-based business from Daisy Communications where she was head of marketing.
She said: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining Love Energy Savings at such an important time in its continued growth."
James Cropper
A Cumbria-headquartered advanced materials and paper products group, which has worked with the likes of Selfridges, Burberry and Lush, has hired a new executive director.
James Gravestock will join James Cropper on November 15 and has been appointed following the decision by Martin Thompson to resign after next year end, after 18 years of service.
He will be appointed as an executive director of the group, along with the role of managing director for the TFP division.
Most recently he held the role of group managing director within Halma plc. Prior to joining Halma in 2017, he held a succession of commercial leadership roles within 3M and Portakabin.
