Recruiters, industrial suppliers, engineers and meat wholesalers are among firms from across Yorkshire to be singled out on a list of the most successful exporters in the 海角视频.
A total of 14 companies have made the 12th annual Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 league table, which ranks Britain’s mid-market private companies with the fastest-growing international sales.
The overall list comprises companies from an eclectic mix of sectors, with industrial firms figuring especially strongly, alongside recruitment consultancies and health, industrial hardware and tech suppliers.
They form part of a list of 18 North East and Yorkshire stars which have grown their international sales by an average of 40% a year over the last two years to a total of £746m, all are profitable and together they employ more than 8,500 people.
The region’s top-ranked company is Naylor Industries in Barnsley at 39th, with overseas sales of £3.6m, which had increased by 76% over the two years, aiding its overall sales of £55.6m. With 380 staff, its clay drainage system was used to build a Fruit of the Loom factory in Morocco.
They were closely followed by Wakefield’s modular building manufacturer Thurston Group at 41 with an increase of 76% to £3.2m.
Bee Health in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, is at 108 with sales growth of 37% over the last two years, taking international sales to £2.3m out of total sales of £28.6m. The company, which has 267 staff, produces 400m vitamin capsules and tablets a week at its factory.
At number 152 in the list is JBA Group, an environmental consultancy in Skipton, North Yorkshire. It saw exports rise 27% to £7.8m, giving total sales of £38.7m. Its 665 staff include 650 engineers, consultants and scientists who work on projects from offices in nine countries

Techbuyer, an IT hardware supplier in Harrogate, has an inventory of 225,000 computer parts which are worth £10m and sold to 100 countries. Coming in at 187th in the rankings with growth of 20% it had overseas sales of £27.9m. It has overall revenues of £40.8m and 123 staff.
Cooper Turner Beck, an industrial fastener manufacturer in Sheffield, at 58 in the list, saw export sales grow by 60% to £118m. The firm, which has overall sales of £135.6m has 1,142 staff, and is deemed an essential manufacturer, more than a century after it made rivets for battleships.
Meanwhile, X-Cel Superturn in Rotherham, which has a 202-strong workforce, produces precision engineered components for the oil and gas, nuclear and renewables sectors. Making the list at 67 it has export sales of £20.2m which had grown by 56%, and overall sales of £32.3m.
Woolley Brothers Wholesale Meats in Sheffield is at 131st, supplying deboned meat to wholesalers across Europe. Growth of 30% took exports to £9.5m out of £54m.
SSS Super Alloys, which has 27 employees at its base in Sheffield, exports nickel alloys from Sheffield to customers in the global aerospace industry and was 136th. An increase of 30% led to international sales of £19.2m out of £27.4m.
Supply chain manager Ligentia, which was 121st with sales growth of 32% to £55.6m out of a total of £123.7m, offered clients free storage space in China when the pandemic curtailed supply chains.
Rounding off the list are Abbey Forged Products in Sheffied, at 183th with growth of 22% to £5.6m; safety barrier manufacturer A-Safe in Halifax, at 130th with its growth of 30% to £61.4m; cleaning products supplier Star Brands in Leeds, at 148th with an increase of 28% to £2.6m, and BJSS, the IT and business consultancy in Leeds which made the list at 169 through growth of 24% to £8.8m.

The companies in the North appear alongside well-known British brands based across the 海角视频 including Sweaty Betty, the women’s activewear brand sold in 195 countries; BrewDog, which was valued at £1bn in 2017 and now has 100 bars worldwide; and Brompton, the bicycle manufacturer, which ships to 47 markets.
