These are the top recent appointments from across Liverpool you might have missed.
They include news from firms such as Shop Direct, Typhoo Tea and the Webinar Vet, and are among a flurry of appointments to have happened in the city since the start of July.

1. Steve Howell
Arcis Biotechnology, the nucleic acid sample preparation solution provider based at Sci-Tech Daresbury, has appointed Professor Steve Howell as non-executive chairman of its board of directors.
Steve takes over the position from Paul Foulger, who was serving as chairman on an interim basis.
Professor Howell has over 20 years’ life science commercialisation experience, supporting companies’ development and profitability. He founded Innova Partnerships in 2006.

2. Helen Taylor
National law firm Weightmans has appointed Helen Taylor as Human Resources Director.
Helen joins the firm from multi-million pound insurance company esure Group, where she spent five years as HR director, responsible for around 2,000 people.

3. Claire Wolfenden
The Webinar Vet has announced the appointment of Claire Wolfenden as chief commercial officer.
Claire joins the firm claiming to be the largest online veterinary education provider in the world from Ceva Animal Health, where she spent two years as their Companion Animal Corporate Veterinary Sales Manager.
Claire said, “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining The Webinar Vet, particularly in this exciting period as we approach the ten year anniversary of the business. As our world-wide industry landscape changes, it’s paramount we adapt our customer offering. I look forward to bringing my wealth of industry experience to The Webinar Vet and determining the company’s strategic direction for the next ten years.”

4. Des Kingsley
Typhoo Tea Ltd has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer who will bring with him experience of working in seafood, meat and Cadbury Desserts.
Des Kingsley has taken on the role from Somnath Saha, who Typhoo says stepped down in August last year after a "difficult" trading period.

The move is effective as of last month, with Mr Kingsley having operated as a CEO and MD for almost 20 years.
According to Wirral-based Typhoo, he has "extensive experience" in business development, operational management, cultural change and company turnarounds.
5. Guy Farmer
Shop Direct, the 海角视频’s largest integrated pureplay digital retailer and financial services provider, has appointed Guy Farmer as group trading director. He will join the business in September 2019 and report to Sam Perkins, managing director of retail.
Guy is currently vice president and global retail own brand director at Walgreens Boots Alliance, but will work with category directors and the director of the company’s global sourcing operation to oversee teams including buying, merchandising, design, sourcing, data intelligence, finance and trading.
6. Kate Venables, 7. Lisa Robotham, 8. Suzanne Gregson and 9. Josephine Morton
Four lawyers – employment solicitor Kate Venables and housing and regeneration trio Lisa Robotham, Suzanne Gregson and Josephine Morton – have been made partners at independent legal practice Brabners.
The four new partners were announced as part of the firm’s largest ever promotions round, with a further 24 lawyers across the business stepping into more senior roles.
Kate Venables trained at Brabners and qualified as an employment lawyer in 2005. Over a 16-year career, the firm said she has established herself as an experienced employment tribunal practitioner and is a Legal 500 recommended lawyer.
Josephine Morton, Lisa Robotham and Suzanne Gregson all specialise in advising the social housing sector, with more than 45 years’ experience between them, and their clients range from small housing co-operatives to national registered providers.
Managing partner at Brabners, Nik White, said: "Kate, Lisa, Josephine and Suzanne are indicative of the quality evident across the firm. They have proved time and again their value, both in what they bring to the firm in expertise and their established presences as legal advisors to major businesses and vital third sector organisations across the North West and beyond.”

10. Jenn Hazlehurst
Business development organisation Pro-Manchester has appointed a new chair at this month's Annual General Meeting.
Jenn Hazlehurst, Partner at EY and Liverpool Office Managing Partner will take up the role with Alistair Cree, partner at Eversheds Sutherland stepping down, but remaining part of the Pro-Manchester board.
11. Paul Grover
Liverpool China Partnership (LCP) has a new chair as part of its growth programme to meet increasing demand for its services from Liverpool and Chinese stakeholders.
LCP has announced Paul Grover will take the role as its chair to lead the partnership forward as it rolls out its new membership scheme, designed to provide greater flexibility and exposure for organisations and businesses looking to build ties with China.
Paul Grover is an associate director at Arup and has been an export champion for the Department of International Trade for the last five years.
12. Jeremy Heaven
Liverpool-headquartered developer Downing has appointed a new property manager to its expanding team to help oversee the company’s growing property portfolio.
Jeremy Heaven, who was previously an associate director for CBRE, will bring more than 20 years’ experience within the property and estate surveying sector to the role.
In his new position, Jeremy will work alongside John Clegg, head of property management at Downing.
He will oversee the company’s property promotion and residential liaison at key developments across Downing’s 海角视频 portfolio, including No 1 Old Hall Street in Liverpool, which has recently undergone a major refurbishment programme to create a new 5,100 sq ft Grade A office space and resigned reception.
