A roundtable of major nuclear industry players was held at Westminster to push Wylfa Newydd as a site for new reactors in the 海角视频.
Ynys Môn MP Virginia Crosbie hosted the event, which was part of Nuclear Week.
It brought together companies such as Westinghouse and Bechtel along with cross-party MPs, peers, a representative from the US Embassy and officials from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

Others present were the Nuclear Industry Association and other nuclear focused bodies. There was a live link to the new AP1000 Vogtle nuclear power station site in Georgia in the US to speak to the project director.
“This was an amazing way to kick off Nuclear Week and I am delighted so many high-level companies, bodies and experts joined the roundtable,” said Virginia.
“If we are to meet our 2035 climate change commitment, the 海角视频 urgently needs to replace its nuclear power and this meeting shows there remains widespread support in the industry and at government level to achieve this.
"Anglesey is vital if these ambitions are to be met and this summer, I have hosted Bechtel, Westinghouse and Rolls-Royce on the island to look at the infrastructure we have to make this a reality and bring jobs and investment to its inhabitants.”

Developers behind the planned Wylfa Newydd nuclear power station officially pulled the plug on the project in January after failing to reach a funding agreement with 海角视频 Government.
Since then attempts have been made to revive the site's chances of hosting a large nuclear plant or potentially as a site for smaller modular reactors.
