Deidre Kelly, or White Dee, isn't a politician but is 50/1 to win the Ladywood seat

is second-favourite to win the Ladywood seat in the and become an MP – but her agent said the job doesn’t pay well enough.

The star of the “poverty porn” show, less well known as Deirdre Kelly, is considered a better bet than the , or in her home constituency in this year’s election.

But while the outspoken mother-of-two has a yearning to get into politics, manager Barry Tomes told the Post he had advised her against it because it would mean a major cut in pay.

He said she would likely look to stand in a General Election but it would more likely be the next Parliament.

Despite her lofty position as second-favourite in Ladywood, Ladbrokes is offering odds of 50/1 against while incumbent Shabana Mahmood is 100/1 on in the safe seat.

Ms Kelly has become a regular commentator on television, radio and in newspapers and is also starring in a new film. She is thought to have earned £100,000 from appearing on Celebrity Big Brother last year.

Mr Tomes said: “Who would want to be an MP and earn £50,000 a year? She could earn a lot more than that just by being Dee Kelly.
