is second-favourite to win the Ladywood seat in the and become an MP 鈥 but her agent said the job doesn鈥檛 pay well enough.

The star of the 鈥減overty porn鈥 show, less well known as Deirdre Kelly, is considered a better bet than the , or in her home constituency in this year鈥檚 election.

But while the outspoken mother-of-two has a yearning to get into politics, manager Barry Tomes told the Post he had advised her against it because it would mean a major cut in pay.

He said she would likely look to stand in a General Election but it would more likely be the next Parliament.

Despite her lofty position as second-favourite in Ladywood, Ladbrokes is offering odds of 50/1 against while incumbent Shabana Mahmood is 100/1 on in the safe seat.

Ms Kelly has become a regular commentator on television, radio and in newspapers and is also starring in a new film. She is thought to have earned 拢100,000 from appearing on Celebrity Big Brother last year.

Mr Tomes said: 鈥淲ho would want to be an MP and earn 拢50,000 a year? She could earn a lot more than that just by being Dee Kelly.

鈥淚t is something to think about when the next election comes round maybe. Then she would be 48 and she will have a lot more media experience. She already understands politics well.鈥

Mr Tomes added added: 鈥淒ee would tell you that she hasn鈥檛 ruled it out. I would tell you as her manager that I鈥檇 rule it out because there isn鈥檛 enough money.

鈥淚 have had a serious conversation with Dee about this. I am confident if she stood she would probably get elected but at the moment she is doing so much stuff with the movie and TV.

鈥淪he gets requested for everything 鈥 the Sunday Times, Newsnight, BBC politics programmes.

鈥淚f she became a politician then all of a sudden she would be limited about what she could say.鈥

Ms Kelly has become a household name for many since appearing in Channel Four documentary Benefits Street early in 2014.

The show documented the lives of several residents of James Turner Street, Winson Green, which has a high proportion of benefits claimants 鈥 and led to hundreds of complaints claiming exploitation against producers.

As a result, she has become a go-to figure on the subject of welfare and a thorn in the side of Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Iain Duncan Smith.

As to her political leanings, Mr Tomes said while she will never be a Conservative her options are open.

He said: 鈥淚f you鈥檇 asked me a year ago, I would have said Labour. She doesn鈥檛 feel for Cameron at all, but she has been thinking a lot about 海角视频IP recently.

鈥淚 would say she鈥檇 be best to stand as an independent candidate.

鈥淏ut we are talking realistically about 10 years time. I think she鈥檇 be mad to stand in this election.鈥

With Ms Kelly unlikely to stand in Ladywood, there seems few left to rival Ms Mahmood for the seat, according to bookmakers.

The Liberal Democrats and 海角视频IP鈥檚 Clair Braund are considered 66/1 shots and the Conservatives are 100/1. Margaret Okole will stand for the Green party.

All odds are subject to change and were correct at the time this story was written.
