West Midlands house prices continue to rise

New data shows the speed at which the value of property is increasing continues to climb as average house price passes £200,000 mark in the region

The speed at which house prices are rising in the West Midlands has increased.

According to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics, the rate at which prices are rising climbed to 3.9 per cent in the year to May, up from two per cent in the year to April.

The average house prices in the region was up to £200,000 in May, from £197,000 in March.

海角视频 average house prices increased by 5.7 per cent over the year to May 2015, up from an increase of 5.5 per cent in the year to April 2015.

The average 海角视频 mix-adjusted house price in May 2015 was £274,000.

During the year to May 2015, average house prices increased 5.8 per cent in England (the same as in the year to April 2015), 2.5 per cent in Wales (up from 1.3 per cent), 2.9 per cent in Scotland (up from 2.2 per cent) and 10.5 per cent in Northern Ireland (up from 8.8 per cent).

In May 2015, London continued to be the English region with the highest average house price at £503,000 and the North East had the lowest average house price at £154,000.
