Welsh holiday firms have been left in the dark on travel rules as England's lockdown is set to end this week.

First Minister Mark Drakeford yesterday revealed the new hospitality rules for Wales - which includes an alcohol ban and 6pm closing time.

Holiday accommodation, like hotels, B&Bs and self catering lets, can stay open but Mr Drakeford failed to clarify new travel rules - saying it would be announced later this week.

But with England's lockdown ending on December 2 businesses are desperate to know whether visitors from over the border - or even in Wales - can come to stay.

Currently they don't know if they can accept new bookings or if they have to cancel those they have already taken.

Neil Rowlands, of Tre-Ysgawen Hall hotel near Llangefni on Anglesey, said it was "completely unthought out".
