With º£½ÇÊÓƵ Government today announcing in which tier its cities and counties will be placed attention in Wales has turned to the next steps by Welsh Government.

First Minister Mark Drakeford yesterday said Welsh Government was "looking carefully" at the tier system in England and Scotland.

He said he wanted to see what measures in tier three in Scotland and England may be appropriate in Wales and indicated the country would have a national rather than local set of rules.

The next steps

England exits its lockdown on December 2 when its new three tier system for controlling the spread of coronavirus kicks in.

The public and businesses are now desperate to know what path Wales will take in the run up to Christmas - and the five day period when a common º£½ÇÊÓƵ approach will see households able to create festive bubbles.

Business Live has been told there will be two Welsh Government cabinet meetings taking place today.

The second of these - when the final decisions on any additional measures will be made - will be late afternoon so no news is expected to be revealed today.
