The new plan has four levels of control with the potential for localised measures

Welsh Government has now published its Coronavirus Control Plan with more details on its new tiered system with four alert levels.

The new framework will control the new measures in Wales - either on a national basis or potentially a county or regional approach.

As revealed on Friday the plan the tiers would range from Level 1 (low risk) to Level 4 (very high risk) which would be similar to the firebreak lockdown.

They say they believe the framework will help Wales navigate the difficult winter period ahead and give a longer-term plan for 2021.

Wales is currently at Level 3 although many indicators are already pointing towards a Level 4 lockdown with case numbers rocketing.

There are though wide differences in the figures across Wales.

What businesses can open in each tier?

Non-essential retail can remain open in all but Level 4 where it would move to essential retail and click and collect for non-essential.

Hospitality could open to 10pm under Level 1 and 2 with the main difference being that alcohol can only be served with a "substantial meal" at Level 2.
