Velio Festival postponed due to pandemic-induced supply chain issues

The 'combined cycling and multi-art festival' was due to take place in a month's time

The event was due to take place at Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire

A festival bringing together music, comedy and sports such as cycling and paddle boarding has been postponed due to supply chain issues caused by the pandemic.

The organisers of the brand new Velio event in Cheshire have announced they are postponing their first festival until next year.

Described as a "combined cycling and multi-art festival", Velio was due to take place in the grounds of Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire between September 17 and 19.

But organisers said on Thursday they have made the "extremely difficult" decision to reschedule after it became apparent that key suppliers were unable to commit to the festival due to ongoing issues with supply chains,

Velio festival will now take place on August 19 to 21 in 2022, and any weekend ticket holders who keep hold of their ticket will be given a £30 credit to spend on food and drink at the event.

A full line up of music and comedy was planned for the festival along with a wellness programme, activities including paddle boarding and wild swimming, and five different cycling routes for beginners to experienced riders.
