A 海角视频IP candidate has posted a bizarre rant on his Facebook page 鈥 attacking mixed marriages and claiming that Europe faces 鈥済enocide鈥.
The post by former pub landlord Steve Latham said: 鈥淲e face Europe鈥檚 fusion with the Third World. The interracial marriage produces each year thousands of young people of mixed race.鈥
It claimed: 鈥淓uropeans are being taught to renounce their origin, their national identity鈥.
And it warned: 鈥淓veryone must see this truth, that European Integration amounts to genocide.鈥
Mr Latham is standing for 海角视频IP in a council by-election in Sandwell on July 9. He was also 海角视频IP鈥檚 Parliamentary candidate for West Bromwich East in the general election.
Genocide is a word usually used to describe the murder of people based on their race or ethnicity, such as organised Nazi murders of Jews and Gypsies or the murder of Tutsis in Rwanda in 1994.
His post appears to have been an edited version of an essay which appeared on a far-right Italian-language website.
It is an attack on Austrian politician Richard Nikolaus Eijiro, Count of Coudenhove-Kalergi, who wrote a book in 1923 setting out plans for a united Europe.
He described himself as 鈥渁 proud Englishman fighting for my freedom鈥. Mr Latham is standing for Newton ward.
Last year 海角视频IP launched an investigation after Mr Latham posted comments to Facebook claiming 鈥淢uslims have infiltrated the Labour Party鈥.
However, the party decided to take no action after party leader Nigel Farage claimed to have 鈥渘ever heard of him鈥.
The Post approached Mr Latham for a comment.
