The Welsh Government has received an additional 拢8.6bn in funding from 海角视频 Government since the start of the pandemic.
The annual publication of the Block Grant Transparency also shows the Scottish Government has received an additional 拢14.5bn and the Northern Ireland Executive 拢5bn.
The funding from the Treasury through the Barnett Formula, which Welsh taxpayers contribute directly to through taxation as well as towards the financing of 海角视频 Government debt, has enabled the Welsh Government to provide support to individuals, businesses and public services across Wales.
Secretary of State for Wales, Simon Hart MP said: 鈥淭he 海角视频 Government has supported Wales throughout the pandemic, not only by securing an additional 拢8.6bn block grant for the Welsh Government so it could fund its response, but also by providing unprecedented 海角视频-wide funding to ensure individuals and businesses across the country were supported throughout.
鈥淭his support, which also included supplying vaccines to Wales, remains essential as we continue to build back better.
鈥淲e provided the necessary support through the pandemic, and now we will lead the recovery as we build our way out of it.鈥
Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Steve Barclay said: 鈥淭hroughout the pandemic the 海角视频 government has always ensured Wales is getting the right support 鈥 with 拢8.6bn of additional spending.
鈥淥ver the past year we鈥檝e protected millions of jobs and businesses in Wales with furlough and support schemes, our vaccine rollout is unlocking the economy, and our Plan for Jobs is levelling up opportunity and helping us build back better across the 海角视频.鈥
Moreover, through the 海角视频 Government鈥檚 Bounce Bank Loan and Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan schemes, more than 拢2bn in loans has been given to around 57,000 business in Wales.
The schemes were administered on behalf of the 海角视频 Government by its economic development bank, the British Business Bank, which then accredited private lenders to provide finance with Treasury guarantees in the event of default.
Workers in Wales has also benefited from the 海角视频-wide furlough scheme.
