Team Leicester delegation vows to get back on track for MIPIM 2021 following double cancellation

Annual networking event in Cannes was due to take this month, then June, but was cancelled twice due to virus

MIPIM takes place in Cannes

An official Team Leicester delegation to the global MIPIM property conference is fully committed to attended the rescheduled event next spring.

The annual networking event was due to take place earlier this month but was moved to June because of the global emergency.

Last week the June date was also cancelled.

A 22-strong partnership, headlined by Leicester-based property developer Bradgate Estates, had been due to attend to collectively showcase property, business and development opportunities across Leicestershire.

They have vowed to push on with their plans to promote the local business scene in 2021, by which time the global economy will be re-emerging from the current shutdown.

The event, will run from March 16-19, and will use the same exhibition centre which hosts the Cannes film festival.

It is seen as an effective way for people to start talks and make contacts in both formal and less formal settings which might otherwise take months to arrange back home.
