An official Team Leicester delegation to the global MIPIM property conference is fully committed to attended the rescheduled event next spring.
The annual networking event was due to take place earlier this month but was moved to June because of the global emergency.
Last week the June date was also cancelled.
A 22-strong partnership, headlined by Leicester-based property developer Bradgate Estates, had been due to attend to collectively showcase property, business and development opportunities across Leicestershire.
They have vowed to push on with their plans to promote the local business scene in 2021, by which time the global economy will be re-emerging from the current shutdown.
The event, will run from March 16-19, and will use the same exhibition centre which hosts the Cannes film festival.
It is seen as an effective way for people to start talks and make contacts in both formal and less formal settings which might otherwise take months to arrange back home.

Team Leicester's MIPIM programme will be managed by city based events specialist Associate Events.
A huge amount of planning had gone into the Team Leicester plans, which had seen some businesses rent a superyacht to host some of the regional events and – as was the case until a month ago – show that Leicestershire was “open for business”.
Rob McGuinn, director at MDA Consulting and chair of Team Leicester, said: “This news that the main MIPIM event will no longer run this year is obviously very disappointing but not unexpected, given the widespread escalation of the Coronavirus.
“This is an unprecedented situation and we recognise that everyone is striving to make the best of this horrendous turn in global events.
“We will be rolling our programme including all sponsorship over to next year and we are fully committed – even more so now – to making MIPIM 2021 a massive success.”
Associate Events will be continuing to liaise with restaurants, hotels and other venues in Cannes once they re-open and to develop the Team Leicester programme through the remainder of this year and into 2021.
