More than 4,000 visitors are expected at the NEC this week for one of the 海角视频鈥檚 key solar energy events.

Solar Energy 海角视频, which is taking place from October 14-16, is now in its fifth year and has become the country鈥檚 largest B2B solar energy exhibition.

Amber Rudd, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Energy and Climate Change, is one of several keynote speakers lined-up for the event.

Ms Rudd will update delegates on government solar policy and assess the solar industry鈥檚 contribution to the Government鈥檚 low-carbon strategy.

The 2014 Solar Energy 海角视频 event comes towards the end of a year that has seen record growth for the 海角视频 industry.

Installed capacity has increased considerably, with a record deployment figure forecast to reach 2.4GW by the end of this year.

Hilda Ho, marketing coordinator Solar Energy 海角视频, said: 鈥淪olar Energy 海角视频 reflects the buzz in the 海角视频 industry and visitor registrations were up by 50 per cent.

鈥淢ore than 200 exhibitors have confirmed and the Solar Power Portal Awards dinner has sold out.

鈥淥ver the three days more than 4,000 attendees are expected at the NEC.鈥

In addition to Ms Rudd, 80 speakers will update delegates with speeches covering everything from finance to standards for new installations and electric vehicles to local authority projects.
