A Midland recruitment professional has helped raise £2,500 for a brain tumour charity with a sky dive in memory of his uncle.

Gareth Downie, aged 33, from Lichfield, who works as a Coachright sports co-ordinator at Birmingham-based Pertemps People Development Group (PPDG) persuaded his wife Louise and brother Carlos to join in on the jump for Brain Tumour º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

Mr Downie’s uncle Martin, an academic at York University, passed away in his early 50s after being diagnosed with brain tumours.

“He had such a passion for life and his family,” Mr Downie said.

“So before he died I spoke to him about our intentions and his response was so supportive and he was particularly grateful for the idea to help the charity.”

The team raised more than £2,000, which was rounded up to a £2,500 donation by Pertemps.
