T​he Balcony, situated on L4 of Selfridges, The Bullring, recently hosted​ a first birthday party after achieving excellent results in its first year​ of trading, with around 80 guests from across the Birmingham business and​ blogger community attending, as well as customers.
The restaurant, operated by prestigious caterers, Searcys, served up cocktails, wine, canapés and live​ ​ music.
The restaurant opened in winter 2013, and has seen a sales uplift of 30 per cent​ over that period, with busiest month December seeing an increase of 23 per cent​ compared to the same month the previous year.
Alice Weryk, general manager at The Balcony, said: “We’re very pleased​ with what has been a fantastic year for us.
“We’ve really strived to provide​ ​our customers with something a bit different, serving food and drinks with​ ​a playful twist in a stylish and contemporary environment.
‘‘We believe the​ success of the restaurant is owed in large part to our varied offering – we open from 10am right through to 8pm, with customers able to choose from​ brunch, our famed afternoon tea picnic, sharing platters, main dishes,​ cocktails and Champagne.’’
