A Conservative MS says coronavirus has made a seaside town fund vital ahead of the winter months.
The party has called on the Welsh Government to recognise the higher retail vacancy rates and levels of deprivation in many coastal towns, when compared to other parts of Wales.
Aberconwy MS Janet Finch-Saunders says the Covid lockdown has impacted these communities harder than many others - with a high proportion of workers employed in tourism and hospality.
She wants a Seaside Town Fund to support them through a "difficult winter".
In response Welsh Government said it was investing in towns across Wales and that its Covid business support package was the most generous in the 海角视频.
MS Mrs Finch-Saunders MS said: "The Covid-19 pandemic has seen my constituency of Aberconwy hit from all directions.
"With a higher proportion of workers employed in industries most affected by the lockdown, a recent study concluded that Conwy was the Welsh county where most the jobs are at risk.

鈥淒espite my numerous letters and telephone meetings with Welsh Government Ministers, I am dismayed that Mark Drakeford鈥檚 administration has refused to act on my proposal that a tailored strategy be formulated, designed to support those hardest hit regions.
鈥淎head of what is predicted to be some very difficult winter trading months, it is vital that the Welsh Government answers Welsh Conservative calls to introduce our ambitious Seaside Town Fund proposal, which would enable communities to decide how public money is invested.
鈥淎n immediate action plan of support must be brought before the Welsh Parliament, as I fear that Wales鈥 economic recovery will be derailed by Cardiff Bay overlooking the difficult winter season ahead.鈥
A Welsh Government spokeswoman said: 鈥淥ur 拢1.7bn business support package means companies in Wales, including those in coastal towns, have access to the most generous support package in the 海角视频. This includes our 拢500m Economic Resilience Fund which has already supported thousands of firms in Wales, helping protect around 75,000 jobs.
鈥淚n January, we announced 拢90m of support for town centres through our Transforming Towns approach.
"We have provided an additional 拢9m to support town centres to recover from the coronavirus pandemic.
"Coastal towns like Rhyl and Colwyn Bay are benefitting from our general town centre investment and also from our Coastal Communities Fund which has distributed 拢16m since 2011.
鈥淥ur budget will only go so far though and that is why businesses need the 海角视频 Government to step-up and provide the further financial support to recover from the wide reaching impacts of coronavirus.鈥
