Scrapping M6 Toll charges on West Midlands Combined authority wishlist

Scrapping and giving a new region wide elected mayor council tax raising powers are included in talks over a , it has emerged.

The requests are included in a devolution bid sent to Government by the earlier this month.

Although the bid is confidential, details have been revealed by BBC Radio WM.

The leaders of the combined authority have already confirmed they are in talks with Government over establishing a regional elected mayor, which Government is likely to make a condition of any substantial devolution package.
