Sajid Javid has QUIT as Chancellor of the Exchequer in a shock move on reshuffle day.
Mr Javid reportedly left after he was ordered by Prime Minister Boris Johnson to sack his advisers. There have been previous reports of tensions between Mr Javid and the PM's adviser Dominic Cummings.
Mr Javid will be replaced by Rishi Sunak, Chief Secretary to the Treasury.
News agency PA has quoted a source close to Mr Javid saying: "He has turned down the job of Chancellor of the Exchequer.
"The Prime Minister said he had to fire all his special advisers and replace them with Number 10 special advisers to make it one team.
"The Chancellor said no self-respecting minister would accept those terms."

Mr Sunak, the son of a GP and a chemist, went to Winchester College and Oxford before becoming an investment banker.
He was first elected to the Richmond constituency in 2015, becoming local government minister in 2018 and Chief Secretary to the Treasury last year.
Northern Powerhouse Partnership director Henri Murison said: “The North has a new holder of one of the great offices of state.
"As the MP for Richmond in Yorkshire, Rishi Sunak has been a steadfast supporter of closing the North-South divide, demanding us to be competitive, seek excellence in what we do and attract investment in our economy.
“We look forward to continue working closely with him as we have done in his role as Chief Secretary.”
Meanwhile Andrea Leadsom has also lost her job as Business Secretary. She will be replaced by Alok Sharma, formerly Secretary of State for International Development
Julian Smith was sacked as Northern Ireland Secretary and Theresa Villiers was removed as Environment Secretary, while Attorney General Geoffrey Cox and housing minister Esther McVey also lost their jobs.
