The architectural firm behind Cardiff’s Central Quay development has made a total of 16 new appointments in the last year after continued growth.

Rio Architects has revealed the latest appointments it has made within the business, including three internal promotions to its management team.

The Cardiff company said the continued growth follows an increase in the number of forthcoming projects.

Among its three senior appointments are Andrew Joss, David Whitter and James Kenyon, who have all been promoted to associate.

They will assist with the day-to-day operation of the business as well as continue in their current roles across multiple projects.

Mr Joss will remain as Rio’s BIM manager and will lead the team in digital construction across all projects, which includes The Landbase Building for Bridgend College.

Mr Joss said: “Having started my Rio journey almost five years ago, I am thrilled at being promoted to associate. I am excited to play a larger role in Rio’s progression and am passionate in pushing the envelope of Digital Construction.”
