Beal Homes chief executive Richard Beal has been named Property Personality of the Year at a prestigious regional awards event.
He received the accolade before an audience of industry peers at The Yorkshires Residential Real Estate Awards 2022. This year has seen the completion of Hull's Fruit Market, while the company's largest ever development in Goole has entered a further phase. It is also closing in on completing its own statement headquarters by the Humber Bridge.
The awards judges said: 鈥淔or the business he has built and his work in the community, Richard is a worthy recipient of this award. Beal work hard to put their customers first and are genuinely committed to supporting both the communities they are building in and their region more widely.鈥

Accepting the award, Richard said it was 鈥渁 tribute to all that has been achieved by everyone at Beal Homes鈥. He told guests: 鈥淎s a family business, we鈥檙e proud to have remained independent as we鈥檝e grown over the years and to play our small part in the Yorkshire housebuilding industry.
鈥淗ousebuilding is a cornerstone of the 海角视频 economy. It is an industry that creates great new places for people to live and provides much-needed new homes.

鈥淚 hope this new government fully understands just what our industry contributes to the economy and provides whatever support is required in the challenging months ahead.鈥
East Yorkshire-based Beal Homes was founded in 1968 by Richard鈥檚 father John and late uncle Raymond, with Richard joining the business straight from school in 1988. He worked in all aspects of the business before ultimately taking over the ownership and leadership from his father in 2010.
Today, Beal Homes is a 拢52.8 million turnover multi-award-winning housebuilder delivering high-quality developments in Hull, East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. It also partnered with Wykeland to deliver the residential element of Hull鈥檚 Fruit Market.
Richard said: 鈥淭he success of Beal Homes is based on the foundations which were laid by my father and uncle. My dad taught me everything about the basic principles of business, drummed into me since I was about six months old, and that has put us in good stead for the future, for which I will be forever grateful.鈥

Beal Homes will soon move into its own new home 鈥 a 20,000 sq ft head office which is a stone鈥檚 throw from its existing base on Bridgeghead Business Park in Hessle. A quarter of the building will be dedicated to Beal鈥檚 unique Design Lounge 鈥 a space where buyers work with the housebuilder鈥檚 expert team of designers to completely customise their home to suit their lifestyle and tastes.
Richard said the new facility would be industry-leading in the service it will enable Beal Homes to provide to its customers and 鈥渁 platform to build on the successful Beal culture鈥. 鈥淚t will be somewhere we can invest in the people of tomorrow and provide excellent training for our growing team of apprentices,鈥 he said.
Beal Homes was also shortlisted for Residential Developer of the Year, a category won by Wetherby's Newett Homes.
The Yorkshires Residential Real Estate Awards celebrate excellence across Yorkshire鈥檚 residential property sector. The awards are organised by the Yorkshire Children鈥檚 Charity and were held at New Dock Hall in Leeds.
