Redwigwam waives fees to help business through deadly coronavirus outbreak

Redwigwam has ‘army’ of 110,000 flexible workers including school leavers, students and parents

One of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s biggest providers of flexible workers is to waive fees for businesses using its “army” of staff in a bid to help firms through the coronavirus crisis.

Temporary staff booking platform Redwigwam will scrap the charges for its users “until further notice”, meaning easier access to its 110,000 signed-up workers.

That means companies can use its online platform to find workers to carry out short-term and ad hoc jobs - and only pay the workers for the jobs they hire them for.

Lorna Davidson, founder and CEO of the Liverpool firm, said: “Coronavirus is already having a massive impact on businesses across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ and the Government has made clear that the situation will get worse over the coming weeks.

“We have an army of flexible workers across the country who are able to help meet the short-term requirements of companies whose staff have been affected by Coronavirus.

“Our workers include school leavers, university students, mums and dads at home and older people who are keen to continue working after they have retired from their full-time jobs.

“Between them, they possess the full range of skills that can be utilised by a business with a short-term requirement.”

She said after the Government made the support of SMEs a major priority in last week’s Budget, it is “vital” that the business community as a whole works together to help each other get through this challenging period.
