Why there is a real thirst for business in Birmingham

Retaining the strengths of its industrial past while pushing traditional business practices helps Birmingham to continue to thrive, according to Mark Eden, Director of Jerroms.

It is the fifth year that the leading audit, tax and accountancy firm has supported the Birmingham Post Business Awards and it is sponsoring this year’s Small Business of the Year category.

Small businesses represent an important part of Jerroms’ client base and the firm prides itself in “building business better”.

Its staff support firms in raising finance, business planning, cash flow management and strategic support to hep entrepreneurs realise their dreams.

“Birmingham still holds the same great qualities from its industrial past where it was at the forefront of the Industrial Revolution,” said Mr Eden.

“Today it continues to thrive because there is a real thirst for business and a determination to challenge the way business is traditionally done.

“Business owners and entrepreneurs have such enthusiasm for innovation and new ideas that there is no standing still in Birmingham – this is what makes it such an exciting place to be.
