A Midland-wide delegation will join forces to help promote more than 拢7 billion of investment opportunities at the biggest property showcase on earth this spring.

The Midlands 海角视频 team will host a series of events in its own pavilion at the MIPIM property conference in Cannes, which takes place in March.

More than 85 private and public sector organisations from across the East and West Midlands will use the opportunity to advertise development schemes and look for partners to work with in a range of construction, real estate and finance sectors.

This year the delegation is supported by Midlands Engine and Department for International Trade, which want to help build on the region鈥檚 拢250 billion economy, post-Brexit.

Among those attending will be several dozen business and political leaders from Leicester and Leicestershire, who brought the 拢100 million Space Park development, led by the University of Leicester, to MIPIM last year.

Work has now started on that development, which will be a world leader in satellite and data gathering technology.

Leicester City's 拢100m training ground being built near Loughborough is an example of the county's vision

This year the city and county are taking a 鈥淗ealthy Choice鈥 theme, promoting health benefits connected to things such as Loughborough University and local football, rugby, cricket and basketball teams.

It will also show how Leicester City鈥檚 new 拢100 million training ground is a statement of intent of the area鈥檚 commitment to world leading developments.

Mark Oakley, director of inward investment for Leicester and Leicestershire, said: 鈥淲e are delighted to be showcasing Leicester and Leicestershire globally as a key part of the Midlands 海角视频 delegation.

鈥淲orking together with the property industry is one of our key strengths in driving forward major regeneration and we continue to build relationships that are transforming our area.鈥

Sir John Peace, chairman of Midlands Engine, said: 鈥淭he Midlands is open for business and MIPIM is the best place to tell the world about it.

鈥淭he region鈥檚 outstanding infrastructure, connectivity and talent pool of more than 11 million people makes it the perfect investment destination.

鈥淭he reason we attend MIPIM each year is simple 鈥 it brings investment into the Midlands which in turn creates regeneration, infrastructure, jobs and money for the public purse.

鈥淎ll of these factors add to a strong 海角视频 economy, which ultimately enhances prosperity and quality of life for the people who live and work in the Midlands.鈥

Some 70 private sector partners will join the cohort, including representatives of Birmingham Airport, Cassidy Group, Gleeds, Harworth Group plc, Godwin Developments, Knights Plc, Morgan Sindall, and Leicester architects RG+P.

Meriden-based Cassidy Group will be unveiling a range of 海角视频 residential projects with values from 拢10 million-拢100 million at MIPIM.

The Group鈥檚 portfolio contains projects from eight different cities across the 海角视频 with a focus on student accommodation, private rental schemes and build to rent.

The group has a 海角视频-wide footprint with many projects situated in the Midlands.

This year, Cassidy Group will be highlighting various projects including the 拢48 million PRS scheme Arkwright Street, which is located in Nottingham and will create 320 new residential units.

Arkwright Street is close to Nottingham train station and a new HMRC regional headquarters, which opens in late 2021 with 4,400 new employees.

The group will also showcase its 拢42 million Albany Road student accommodation scheme in Coventry.

That project will create 436 new student beds in Earlsdon, which is a prime location for students.

It will be the first major purpose built student accommodation in Earlsdon and will help to meet the increasing requirements at both Warwick and Coventry Universities for accommodation.

Patric Cassidy, director of Cassidy Group, said: 鈥淛oining the Midlands鈥 public and private sector organisations at MIPIM enables us to have important conversations with key players and network with global investors to bring home fresh investment for not only Cassidy Group but also the whole region.

鈥淲e have a substantial development portfolio that is valued at 拢1 billion, including plans for more than 7,000 student beds and over 2,000 PRS/BTR units.

鈥淲e look forward to meeting with potential investment funds to discuss our exciting projects further.鈥

MIPIM will attract around 26,000 delegates ranging from potential investors, partners, clients, suppliers and global property media.

The three-day show will include presentations, panels and showcases within the Midlands 海角视频 Pavilion.
