PM Boris Johnson addresses crowds at JCB as part of final effort to win support

Mr Johnson delivered a speech which focused on Brexit and the Conservatives' manifesto pledges

Prime Minister Boris Johnson addressed staff at a Staffordshire factory this afternoon - as part of a last-ditch attempt to win support ahead of Thursday's election.

The Conservative leader was joined by Chancellor Savid Javid to deliver a speech to more than 100 employees and members of the media at JCB in Uttoxeter earlier today. (Tuesday)

 

According to , the Mr Javid said: "You will get to decide whether we move forwards or backwards.

"The choice is going to be incredibly stark, there’s only two possible outcomes.

"It’s either Boris Johnson with a conservative majority in parliament getting Brexit done....

It’s either Boris Johnson with a conservative majority in parliament getting Brexit done or the county can choose Jeremy Corbyn in a hung parliament propped up by the SNP.”

While Mr Johnson pledged his support for his Brexit deal and told crowds it would allow them to leave the EU by January 31.

He spoke about the economic benefits his party could deliver for the country and outlined his manifesto pledges around frontline policing, hospital spending and schools funding.
