Plymouth’s largest social housing landlord is to build 1,000 new homes after securing a £65m loan from NatWest bank.

Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) aims to build the affordable homes by 2026 growing its existing portfolio of more than 16,000 homes.

The majority of the new homes will be let at affordable rent, with shared ownership homes also being developed, in Plymouth and the surrounding areas.

The finance package, a SONIA (Sterling Overnight Index Average) funded risk-free loan, will also support PCH’s investment into maintaining the high standard of its existing homes.
