Plans unveiled for 257 waterfront apartments in Liverpool

Plans are in for a scheme set to bring 257 apartments to Liverpool docklands after the initial permission expired earlier this year.

The £40m proposals are for phase two of the Keel scheme, and are led by investment and development company Glenbrook Property and Barings Real Estate.

According to Glenbrook, the plans for the vacant development plots are , that was approved back in 2016.

Glenbrook’s involvement in the scheme dates back to 2014 when it acquired the former HMRC office building from Mapeley, and delivered a 240-apartment scheme with Moorfield, known as The Keel.

The site was subsequently acquired by Barings in 2018 with Glenbrook retained as development partner for the remaining phases.

Stuart McCrone, projects director at Glenbrook, said: “We are very excited to be lodging this application that builds on the success of The Keel and confirms this area as one of the prime residential locations in Liverpool.

“Glenbrook has a long-standing track record of successfully delivering projects in Liverpool and we look forward to continuing this with completing the next phases of development at The Keel.”
