Plans to build 11 houses on land once earmarked for a care home have been revealed.
Pickwick (Corsham) Development Ltd has applied to Wiltshire Council for permission to build 11 houses on land north of Bath Road in Pickwick.
The site was previously earmarked for development as an 80-bed care home. A planning application was rejected in 2021, and rejected again at appeal in 2022.

The developer, a subsidiary of Acorn Property Group, says it has worked with a team of consultants taking into account the site constraints established through the previous application, as well as a community engagement exercise over the summer.
The site consists of "non-productive agricultural land" extending to 0.7 hectares – a little more than the size of a football pitch.
The site is accessed off Bath Road in the Pickwick Conservation Area with several historic Grade II listed buildings.
The developer says the three- and four-bed homes would be built to the Future Homes Standard to make them energy efficient with EV charging points and air source heat pumps.
Three of the homes would be designated "affordable."

The proposals also include repairs to a 19th century stone barn at the front of the site.
The developer says the homes have been designed to complement the local vernacular.
A decision on the application is expected before January 28.
