Michelin star restaurant has undergone its biggest refurbishment in a decade amid a for the city’s food scene.

The city food scene has never been so strong, and Simpsons chef patron has invested to extend the restaurant and spruce up the decor.

It comes after the Post revealed plans for the on Waterloo Street.

He said the Grade II-listed property was overdue some work as it had been ten years since the last major refurbishment.

He said: “We’ve extended the dining room so that it is one big room rather than a collection of rooms.

“Simpsons looks more modern, crisper, and more contemporary.”

Simpsons is renowned for the culinary superstars it has produced under the tutelage of chef patron Andreas, including Glynn Purnell, Simpsons chef director Luke Tipping and Andy Waters.
