Chiesi, the global pharmaceutical group with its 海角视频 head office in Manchester, will be pumping its profits into good causes after it was awarded a B Corp certification in its 25th year.
Companies with this status use profits and growth for a greater good and have a positive impact for their employees, community and the environment.
The family owned business first started in a small laboratory in Parma, Italy, in 1935.
The group now operates across the globe in 28 countries, including the 海角视频, with licensee arrangements in 59 others.
Its 海角视频 affiliate, Chiesi has been based in the 海角视频 for 25 years with its head office based near Manchester Airport.
It is one of the strongest performing businesses within the group in terms of revenues which reached £262m last year.
The company employs more than 400 people in the 海角视频, with 180 of them based out of its Wythenshawe site.
To achieve the B Corp status, the company was externally assessed across a range of criteria to become the largest global pharma group to achieve the certification.

Chiesi made a significant contribution to this achievement; including switching to 100% renewable energy, as well as contributing to community and environmental initiatives.
