The return of Peaky Blinders to the nation’s TV screens will be marked with a special exhibition at the Library of Birmingham.
Costumes from the first series, photos from the set of series two and props from the epic Birmingham-set gangster drama will be on show in the reception area of the library September 12 to 25.
It is part of a series of events behind held in the city as part of the build-up to the second series of Peaky Blinders which will air this autumn.
BBC Birmingham and the production companies have collaborated to curate the exhibition ahead of transmission for local fans of the show.
It will also include a short film made by the BBC Inside Out team at BBC Birmingham which documents the “Real Peaky Blinders”, as well as mugshots of the supposed gang members supplied by the West Midlands Police Museum.
Frith Tiplady, head of production at Tiger Aspect and an executive producer on the show, said the exhibition would offer a small insight into the gang famed for sewing razor blades into the peaks of their Stetson caps.
She added: “Shooting the first series involved more than 100 sets and 700 costumes, and the scale has more than doubled for series two. We are delighted to be able to offer Birmingham fans the chance to see behind the scenes of the show.”
After series one of Peaky Blinders proved a success with critics and audiences, particularly in its home city, the drama returns in October.

As part of the build-up, the first screening of the new trailer for the second series of BBC Two’s Peaky Blinders is being shown at half-time at Birmingham City’s home match against Leeds United on Saturday.
Tours of Birmingham based on the show have also re-started and there will be a world premiere at Cineworld on Broad Street.
