Two French brothers have used their unique aerial photographic skills to establish a thriving business which has highlighted a bird’s eye view of Birmingham - from images beamed via a drone-like craft buzzing across the city skyline.
Production firm Onedayinmylife is based in Moseley and was founded by Didier and Laurent Soulier in 2008.
The brothers use a quadrohelicopter for aerial shots. The device is lifted and propelled by four rotors and it is controlled from the ground.

Cameras are fitted to the copter and these capture the images while the device flies overhead. They are a favourite with the military but the brothers have adapted the equipment for use in aerial imagery.
The brothers’ photographic and video skills have already earned a host of awards, including new business accolades and a coveted prize in their native France, from the body which monitors industry standards in video productions.
Didier Soulier said: “The quadrohelicopter machine gives fantastic aerial footage perceptive and is cheaper than hiring a full-sized aircraft.”
“With our helicopters we can fly around a site making varying passes and orbits. Footage normally consists of close-ups and wide-angle shots showing the site within its surroundings.
“Aerial video adds an amazing and interesting perspective and has many applications, from using on a website, forming part of a business presentation, urban planning or construction projects,” added Didier.
