Business leaders are being urged to sign up for three exciting events taking place over the coming weeks that will provide key opportunities and information on doing business in Africa, the Middle East and USA.

The free events, which start next week and are being put on by BusinessLive in partnership with the Department for International Trade, will hear from expert representatives in export markets.

It comes as the end of the Brexit transition period on January 1 nears, an event set to have a big impact on the way º£½ÇÊÓƵ firms trade internationally.

Delegates at the events will be part of interactive panel sessions containing crucial information and advice on topics such as how to handle risk and security and different routes to market.

The importance of cultural differences including building relationships post Covid-19 will be widely covered, as will the impact of the pandemic and how this affects companies exporting into these markets.

Arshad Dadabhoy, international trade adviser at DIT North West, said: “Exporting not only enriches your business through exposure to new cultures, customs and languages but also introduces synergies in procurement, logistics, finance and distribution.”

Speakers at the first event - Doing Business in Africa - include Alastair Long, HM deputy trade commissioner for Africa, Raksha Mahraj, Africa sector director for infrastructure and mining, and Andy Eaton, head of sales at hydropower firm Gilbert Gilkes.
