North Wales gas terminal workers have called off strike action after accepting a revised pay offer.

Unite announced last month that notice had been served on Petrofac Facilities Management in a dispute over pay.

The action related to members at the Point Of Ayr Gas Terminal near Talacre, which Petrofac operates.

It is where gas resources are brought ashore from gas fields in Liverpool Bay and pumped to Connah’s Quay gas power station.

Members were due to strike for three days but the action was postponed for further talks.

Now an improved offer has been accepted.

Unite said: "Our members at Petrofac Ltd have called off strike action and have accepted a revised offer of 10% backdated to September 2021 and a 5% increase from April 2022.
