A new tenant is being sought for the building currently occupied by the Everton club shop near Goodison Park. The store, known as Everton One, is located at 183-189 Walton Lane, but the club will terminate their lease in August when they move to a state-of-the-art stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock for the start of the next season.
Cited Property is handling the letting of the site, with the rent listed at £95,000. The building spans a ground and first floor, featuring a tower on its right side reminiscent of Prince Rupert's Tower, depicted on the Everton badge.
Both floors measure 4,145 sq ft each, totalling 8,290 sq ft, and there's a 30-space car park. The advertised business rates payable for the site are £39,944.
Despite Everton's departure from Goodison at the end of the season, the club plans to maintain a presence in the area.
In January 2020, Everton submitted an outline planning application to Liverpool City Council for their Goodison Park Legacy Project. The proposal includes transforming the stadium into various community assets, such as affordable housing, retail spaces, and green areas, reports .
At Goodison, the club plans to retain the centre circle and the statues of the Holy Trinity (Alan Ball, Colin Harvey, and Howard Kendall) and Dixie Dean.
