A new neighbourhood providing 75 homes for Cornish people has been completed.
The community of high quality homes - a mix of 45 affordable rent and 30 shared ownership - have been handed over to residents at Higher Nansloe, Helston.
The development for Coastline Housing which was completed by Mi-Space aims to give local people the opportunity to take their first step on to the property ladder by delivering 60 two, three and four bedroom houses, 14 one-bedroom apartments and one two-bedroom bungalow.

During the 17 month project, the Mi-space team has been involved in a number of local activities and, on-site, has supported Coastline Housing’s pioneering back-to- work training scheme, Coastline Construct.
David Pengelly, operational manager for Mi-space, part of The Midas Group, said: “We are delighted to have successfully completed yet another scheme for Coastline.
"This project exemplifies how strategic partnership working can achieve great things - not only a fantastic new neighbourhood for local people to enjoy for generations to come but also through the construction journey we were able to deliver our wider vision to give back to the communities we live and work in.
“Working with Coastline towards a shared vision we have managed to deliver Coastline’s training and work experience scheme to support more people to learn about the rewarding range of opportunities in construction. We’ve achieved some fantastic results and also earned Mi-space the Employer Award in the 2018 Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Building Better Opportunities Awards.

Coastline Construct is a programme run by Coastline Housing in partnership with a number of agencies to offer local people a chance to obtain their CSCS card, have training in trade skills and gain real life work experience on a construction site.
The back-to-work programme was designed to help unemployed people gain skills to help them gain employment in the construction industry.
Mi-space has previously worked with Coastline Housing on their Pengover Parc project which involved the redevelopment of a former industrial site in Redruth into 10 affordable homes; a scheme that saw the Mi-space team receive high customer satisfaction scores for quality and customer service.
Bee Rowley, from Coastline Housing, said: “With the support and enthusiasm of Mi-space colleagues, we have been able to give 46 Coastline customers and members of the local community the opportunity to access the Coastline Construct programme.

"All participants gained new trade skills, and many went on to secure employment or training opportunities.
“The Mi-space team’s commitment to the local community enabled us to be involved in the regeneration of local primary school, Nansloe Academy’s playground area, which included creating a fully accessible allotment. This was the first Coastline Construct site, and the bar has been set very high for future delivery – we’re incredibly grateful to all Mi-space colleagues who were involved.”
She added that Coastline Housing is planning to run a future Coastline Construct scheme across Cornwall.
