musicMagpie CEO's 'incredible pride' at winning MEN Business Awards as he reveals most important benefit

The CEO of one of Greater Manchester's online retail giants has described his pride following the firm's M.E.N Business Awards win - and said it helped the organisation connect even more with the local community.

Steve Oliver, CEO of musicMagpie, has spoken about the firm's successes since the Business of the Year (£100m+turnover) award back in 2019 - the last time the event was held.

He said the win helped boost the profile of the firm, which earlier this year completed its float on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market in a move that valued it at over £200m.

Earlier this month, we relaunched the MEN Business Awards - reopening the entry period for a limited time and for a select number of categories.

That meant moving the date of our famous awards event, for which headline sponsors are , , , and ; with category sponsors Bolton School.

The prestigious event, which was due to be held on November 18, 2021, will now take place on April 7, 2022 .
