Two brave women who are battling breast cancer are going a long way to help others struck by the disease 鈥 by taking part in the Big Fun Run on Saturday.

Rebecca Swift and Sarah Perry are taking on the 5,000km run through Cannon Hill Park in aid of Breast Cancer Care and Cancer Research 海角视频.

The pair have already secured more than 拢1,400 sponsorship, as well as praise from high places with Jack Dromey, MP for Birmingham Erdington, backing their fight against breast cancer.

He was so taken with their story he pledged to take part in Breast Cancer Campaign鈥檚 flagship fundraiser, Wear It Pink Day on October 24.

The pair will both be running a matter of days after they undergo chemotherapy treatment.

Mr Dromey said: 鈥淩ebecca is a fine young woman 鈥 the regional campaign director for the Royal National Institute for the Blind. It has been a privilege to work with a great champion of the blind and partially-sighted. Now she is undergoing chemotherapy as she battles breast cancer.

Wear it Pink Day will challenge people to find fun and stylish ways to wear pink in the office, at home or at school.
