Southside Central, a newly incorporated company registered in Northampton, is working with city practice Glenn Howells Architects and Stourbridge-based PJ Planning to redevelop a surface car park at 83-92 Bromsgrove Street.

It wants to build an eight-storey block containing 73 one-bedroom apartments, a 3,274 sq ft ground floor commercial unit and parking for 40 bikes.

Working with Malvern architecture firm Paul Nicholls Partnership, the company wants to refurbish the former home of lighting company Inlico into 57 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and shared lounge and kitchen facilities.
