MG adds more retailers to expanding dealer network

Birmingham manufacturer on target to double network by end of 2014

Longbridge-based car group MG has continued the expansion of its dealer network with four new openings in recent weeks.

The quartet of sites, in Bicester, Brecon, Maidstone and Wareham, brings the total of new openings to 20 in the past seven months.

MG said it was on target for network of 80 dealers as part of ambitious plans to grow its retailer network by the end of 2014, underpinned by a surge of MG sales.

MG said it was now the fastest growing brand in the country with figures recently showing a 574 per cent increase in sales in quarter one.

Since November 2013, 20 new MG dealerships have opened including in Dudley, Gloucester, Spalding, Leicester and Northampton with more dealer appointments to be announced in the near future.
