A luxury spa lodge in Gwynedd has been put up for sale following the tragic death of a legend of the Welsh car industry.

Coes Faen Spa Lodge near Barmouth(Abermaw) was owned by Prof Richard Parry-Jones and his wife Sara. .

Prof Parry-Jones died in an accident involving a tractor at his home in April, aged 69.

He was former vice president of Ford Motor Company and led development teams on cars like the Ford Mondeo and Focus, the Ka and the Puma.

Coes Faen announced a temporary closure after the tragedy.

Now the spa and the Grade II listed family home next to it have gone on the market for £3.5m.
