º£½ÇÊÓƵ new apartments in Hull’s £6m King William House development were snapped up within weeks of hitting the market.

The one and two-bedroomed apartments, in the heart of Hull’s Old Town, form part of a new city centre complex which is also expected to include shops, bars and restaurants.

Within three weeks of the 30 apartments hitting the rent market, property agent Garness Jones confirmed they had all been picked up.

Matt Johnson, residential lettings manager at Garness Jones Residential, said:  “Whenever new properties come onto the market you expect them to do well but we were still blown away by how quickly we let these apartments.

“There is an interesting element here in that initially these apartments were going to be made available for sale, only for there to be a late change of direction and the decision was taken to place them on the rental market.

“What has been proven with this project is that there is huge demand for high quality rental space in the city centre and I’d certainly suggest to any future developers to follow the blueprint provided here.”

Many of the apartments offer views of Hull Minster and across the city centre.

They were the first new apartments as part of the King William House complex to become available for some time, and include sound reducing acoustic windows, LED spotlights, bathrooms with underfloor heating and even Sky Q television connections.
