Llandudno pier boss buys pavilion site from developer

Llandudno pier owner Adam Williams has snapped up the pavilion site next door.

The Pier Pavilion site has lain empty for 23-years after the old building was .

It was earmarked for the development of by developer Alan Waldron - with the latest controversial application facing a call-in request to Welsh Government planning inspectors.

Last month in a shock move, Mr Waldron

But a sale has now been announced.

Adam Williams, who owns Llandudno Pier and Tir Prince in , has confirmed that he is buying the site.

He had been a fierce opponent of the flats scheme due to fears over its potential impact on the pier.

Mr Williams said: "Tir Prince Leisure Group are delighted to announce that they have secured the purchase of the land at Llandudno Pier Pavilion following negotiations with the current owners.
