A Liverpool developer says it will create 800 new jobs across its construction sites this year.

Legacie Developments, whose huge projects include the £90m Parliament Square scheme in the Baltic Triangle, announced on Tuesday it will create the jobs in Liverpool before the end of 2021.

The company said it will soon be developing five sites across the city including One Baltic Square and Element The Quarter - the former Primesite project on Low Hill, now with plans to become a 450-unit eco-friendly residential scheme.

Legacie is also starting work on a building scheme to create 76 new homes in north Liverpool.

Managing director John Morley said: "We are incredibly proud of the new jobs we are creating in Liverpool’s construction sector.

How 'Element The Quarter' is set to look

“The new jobs cover all aspects of the construction industry, and will include a number of opportunities for apprentices who we have committed to upskilling for the future.

"It is especially pleasing to help people get back to work after the pandemic. The jobs will be across all of our sites in Liverpool including Parliament Square, One Baltic Square, Element The Quarter, City Terraces in north Liverpool and The Summit.”
